My Adventure
They say that water brings wisdom. What a funny quote I thought about while I stood under the pouring sprinkles of my shower. What an intense perspective I have of the world’s current state.
For those that are reading this post-corona-age, during the year 2020, the world went into a “lockdown” where half the world's economy went into waste. Hundred of thousands of people have died from this pandemic. People have distanced themselves and stayed at home to reduce the spread of this un-vaccinated virus. Millions upon millions of people have lost their jobs. People are starving to death in efforts to fight this virus. How much more will it kill?
This bought me back to the thought of “This sounds like a world war”
Who knew the nature of this world war was not between humans. Rather, it was between humans and another organism that scientists debate its consideration for being “alive.” The debate begins with the fact that it can’t function without the host. Floating amidst is its routine path to unhosted death. Humorously, with such little life force, it takes on the “ruler of the earth” … us. Battling for a resource that humans hardly gave gratitude towards … our body. The virus slowly plotted its plan since SARS-CoV in 2002. Before the master plan was executed, humans foolishly engaged in a, somewhat, civil war between ourselves. Not knowing who the true war was against.
My thoughts
This war will change people’s lives. It will humble those in power, to remind them that they’re just a human. People will come together and fight this war. Backstabbing between our own human race will also happen. Our single-handedly trained military will be, ironically, used on our own population, to keep them at home. Businesses will change the way they operate. Most of all, people will value “life” differently.
The question of “what is the meaning of life?” will become more prevalent. Watching trucks after trucks of dead people die in hospitals, people will revisit the holding question. What is the purpose of it if we waste away so fragile. And in my wish, may a more spiritual growth of the world begin.
I’m perhaps thinking too much. Stepped out of the shower and continued life per routined.
